The Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. holds its National Specialty annually at different locations across the country. In 2025 it will be held in Portland, Oregon.

DOG POLICY:  Maximum 4 dogs with a $25.00 pet fee. Dogs must be crated when unattended in the room.  Plastic should be placed under all crates. This is a self-cleaning show.

National Challenge Trophies

Best Puppy in Futurity Challenge Trophy                                                       (offered at the MPCA National Specialty only)

The “Dannyquest”  Miniature Pinscher statue, entitled, “The Courtship,” is offered through the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. (MPCA) by Vivian A. Hogan to the breeder(s) of the “Best Puppy in Futurity” at the MPCA National Specialty show. For permanent possession, this trophy must be won three times by the same  breeder(s) of record of record of the Futurity-nominated puppies, not necessarily at consecutive  National Specialties. The breeder(s) of record must be identical all three times. After the show, the MPCA will be responsible for holding the trophy in its possession until the next MPCA National Specialty show, or until the requirements for permanent are met.

Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show Challenge Trophy

The Am/Can CH Mercer’s Desert Dust Devil Challenge Trophy is offered through the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. “MPCA”  by Janis M. Mercer to the Breeder/Owner/Exhibitor of the Best Bred by Exhibitor in Show at the MPCA National Specialty show only. For permanent possession, this trophy must be won three (3) times by the exact same breeder/owner/exhibitor of record, not necessarily with the same dog or bitch.  The wins do not have to occur at consecutive National Specialties. The donor is responsible for holding the trophy in her possession until the next national show or until the requirements for permanent possession have been met.

Pamella Ruggie (Pevensey) Challenge Trophy

A statue of Min Pin lying on a rug is offered through the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc., by Marcia Tucker, Lonnie Phillips & Pat Prellwitz to the owner(s) of the Best Puppy in Sweepstakes at National Specialty shows only. For permanent possession, this trophy must be won three times by the same owner(s), not necessarily with the same dog nor at consecutive National Specialties. However, the owner(s) of record must be identical the three times. After the show, the donors shall be responsible for holding the trophy in their possession until the next show or until the requirements for permanent possession are met.

Kathy Morris High Triple Score Rally Perpetual Trophy

The Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. “MPCA” is offering a perpetual trophy for High Triple Score in Rally, in honor and remembrance of our friend Kathy Morris and her accomplishments with her beloved Miniature Pinscher RACH Bluehens Bolt Out of the Blue CD BN RM4 RAE5 FDC CAA DCAT SWN CGCA CGCU TKI “Jiminy Cricket”.This trophy will be awarded for the High Triple Score in Rally, earned at Rally events hosted at the MPCA National Specialties only. A plaque will be inscribed  with the winning dog’s name and year the trophy was won. The  trophy itself will be a shadow box containing some precious items from Kathy and Jim.  After the show, MPCA will be responsible for holding the trophy until the next MPCA National Specialty.

Frank Mercer  Challenge Trophy – retired by Armando Angelbello

An original Miniature Pinscher Bolo cherished by Frank Mercer is offered through the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. by Janis Mercer to the breeder and owner exhibitor of Best Bred By Exhibitor In Show dog at National Specialty shows only. The first place Bred by Exhibitor Dog and Bitch will compete for Best Bred By Exhibitor In Show for qualification of this award to the winner. For permanent possession, this trophy must be won three times by the same breeder/owner/exhibitor of record, not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive National Specialties. However, the breeder/owner/exhibitor must be the same individual the three times, and his/her name must appear as breeder and owner of record, whether co-bred or co-owned. After the show, the donor shall be responsible for holding the trophy in his/her possession until the next show or until the requirements for permanent possession are met.
